IMO REVIEW: POSTPONING THE DOOMSDAY

The application to review the Supreme Court adjudication on Imo election has taken up an intriguing tone. The court had addressed the applicants and witnesses that the review has been postponed till tomorrow. This is the second time the review has  been adjourned. The reason has always  been the submission of technical motions by Governor Uzodimma's counsel, resulting in the request for further time to study them.

Before now, we have been saddled with the news of Chief Agabi, Ihedioha's counsel withdrawing from the race. So many sponsored media outlets served this tasteless menu to the reading public to score some political capital. Agabi's presence at the Supreme court chambers this morning laid the ugly  news to rest. There has also been postulations that the Supreme court will place Hon. Ihedioha on a huge punitive fine for dragging its image to ridicule. The review process tomorrow will explain that to our understanding. To project the governor as one who has nothing of fear in his mind, his armchair propagandists circulated a picture of him playing table tennis in a relaxed mood. That was a clear picture of Nero fiddling while Rome burned.

Since, the application for this review, the delayment witnessed in the process has often been generated by Senator Uzodimma's team. In the face of all of that, they have also held their heads high as great propagandists, painting an ugly picture of their opponent. That for sure is a sign of uncertainty in a battle where assurance of victory therefrom will be in the rarest of estimations.

By tomorrow, the teeming count of concerned persons will as well throng the Supreme court premises for the third time to listen to the review of an ill-fated judgement that has brought acrimony to a people. This time, it will be expected that the last analysis will be given. In any way the pendulum decides to swing, it will be very clear to anyone that a warrior met his colleague.
